Kayti grew up with exposure to the construction industry. Her parents owned an aggregate trucking fleet, a ready-mix plant, several pits, and a sod farm. She spent much of her childhood working in the office and in the sod fields. After high school, she got her teaching degree and spent 14 years in education. She taught in the elementary grades and later in her career, she coached educators and led professional development.

In 2020, she took a break from education to learn the dirt world. Kayti and her husband started DW Companies with a passion to do things different.

Invited to a professional development by Kayti, Erica had found a new passion and purpose - always a teacher at heart - helping to improve the culture in the construction world.  She is currently a team member at DW Companies where she utilizes her technology background and is helping create Culture Academy.

Stacy Rutten brings over 10 years of experience in leadership development, coaching, and organizational effectiveness, helping leaders build strong, accountable teams that get real work done. She equips owners, managers, and leadership teams with practical tools to improve communication, clarify expectations, and strengthen performance across the organization.

With a Master’s degree in Education and a deep understanding of how adults learn and implement change, Stacy is known for asking thoughtful questions, building trust quickly, and helping leaders navigate growth while developing their people. She partners with organizations to create cultures where accountability and respect drive results.

Outside of her work, Stacy’s connection to the trades runs deep. Her husband teaches construction to young individuals entering the trades, and at home she and her family are immersed in shop life — raising three boys who can often be found lifting cars on hoists, tinkering with engines, or testing new tricks on the dirt bike track. She understands firsthand the grit, pride, and work ethic that define this industry.

Stacy is committed to strengthening culture within trade organizations by developing strong leaders and building teams that execute with clarity, ownership, and confidence.
